Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend | Projected Start: July 27, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide total patient care in a 26-bed Medical ICU at a 2:1 patient ratio, managing complex critical care needs including cardiac, neurological, and respiratory conditions
- Operate and manage advanced equipment including ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, and IABP; perform and assist with procedures such as intubations, cardioversions, CRRT, and patient proning
- Administer and monitor critical care drips with thorough and accurate assessment skills
- Document patient care using Meditech EBCD (Evidence Based Clinical Documentation) and utilize iMobile technology
- Adhere to patient experience standards including hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, completion of care boards, and use of AIDET communication framework
- Float to Medical-Surgical or Intensive Care Units as needed per staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
- Willingness to care for COVID-19 patients and proficiency in donning and doffing PPE
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is a plus
- Experience with ventriculostomy drain management and continual renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
- Familiarity with Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems
- National nursing certification in a relevant specialty
