Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 36–48 Hours Per Week Available
Key Responsibilities
- Float across multiple critical care environments including Neuro/Trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCCU)
- Provide ICU-level care to patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
- Deliver competent, safe nursing care to a diverse and acutely ill patient population across varied ICU settings
- Adapt quickly to different unit cultures, workflows, and patient care needs as part of a critical care float pool
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New York State
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Demonstrated competency and comfort caring for ICU patients across multiple critical care specialties
- Must complete a competency test within 24 hours of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center strongly preferred
- Prior experience floating to a variety of ICU settings highly desired
- Familiarity with neuro, trauma, cardiovascular, and medical-surgical critical care populations
