Must-Have:
- Open to working weekends, with a minimum requirement every other weekend; may exceed to meet unit needs.
- Must be open to working major holidays.
- Must be willing to float to different ICU floors and lower acuity units as needed.
Description:
This is a float position within the ICU.
Clinicians may be floated to different ICU floors and other units up to 100% of shifts.
Travelers are expected to float between sister facilities.
Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
Staffing ratios are 1:2 for patient care.
Previous charge experience is preferred, along with the ability to manage a variety of critical care situations.
Experience with diverse patient populations is necessary.
The ability to manage ventilated patients and perform advanced nursing procedures is required.
Daily patient census may average several visits per day.
This role includes collaboration with an interdisciplinary support team to coordinate patient care.
Skills in various monitoring techniques and IV management are essential.
Travelers may be expected to fulfill additional shifts to meet staffing needs.
