Job Title: ICU Float Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour; Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in ICU required License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Travel experience required - Proficiency with accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, and care of ventilated patients - Experience in managing dysrhythmias and starting/maintaining IVs Description: The ICU Float position is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients across various ICU settings. Nurses in this role will be required to float to multiple campuses as necessary. There may be a need to float to step-down units or emergency departments in the event of patient care needs. The position entails working day and night shifts on a rotating schedule. Weekend coverage is required as needed. This role does not involve on-call requirements. Nurses will be notified two hours before their scheduled shift regarding the location of their assignment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of independence and clinical judgment while providing care. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential in this dynamic environment. The ICU Float Registered Nurse will experience a diverse range of patient diagnoses and critical care situations. Effective management of procedures and protocols geared towards critical care is essential. Candidates must provide a work history verification for the previous seven years.
