Description:
This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit.
The expected patient ratio is 1:2 in ICU settings and 1:3 in Progressive Care Units.
Weekend work is required based on unit needs.
Floating between units is expected based on staffing requirements.
On-call duties are not required.
The unit supports interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.
Common patient diagnoses may include medical ICU cases, diabetic ketoacidosis, pneumonia, sepsis, overdose, and dialysis/CRRT.
Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities.
Communication devices will be provided for work-related purposes.
References are required covering a minimum of one year within the last three years.
The policy on returning staff allows for return after three months of absence.
