TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Odessa, Texas, 79761!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in ICU or PCU License: Valid nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TCAR/TNCC Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience Patient ratio experience Charting system experience Description: High-level PCU RNs needed and/or ICU RNs. Will care for ICU patients in a new PCU opening in October. Will support medical/surgical, telemetry, PCU, and/or critical care patients. Will float to these areas if the census is low. Medical/surgical/telemetry ratios are 6:1. Critical care ratios are 2:1. Must start in early October. Facility may allow the traveler to start with certifications pending, but they would need to obtain them within the allotted timeframe. Responsibilities include accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, and care of ventilated patients. Additional skills required include blood product administration and central line care/management. Candidates should also have experience with fluid and medication titration. Telemetry monitoring is necessary. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The unit is designed as a universal suite, meaning each room can function based on the diagnosis and accommodation code. Expectations include floating to critical care or medical/surgical/telemetry as needed. The daily census is 8 patients with a diverse range of diagnoses. Special equipment includes continuous bedside monitoring and arterial lines.
