Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a Burn Intensive Care Unit setting during night shift hours
  • Implement and follow a nurse-driven burn resuscitation protocol, including orientation to facility-specific protocols involving FFP and albumin
  • Monitor and manage critically ill burn patients, ensuring timely and accurate assessments and interventions
  • Float to other units as needed, including other ICUs, PCU, MedSurg/Tele, and ED Boarding
  • Participate in orientation, typically scheduled on Tuesdays or Wednesdays
Required Qualifications
  • Active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
  • New graduates are not eligible for this position
  • No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) during the contract period
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior burn care experience is a plus, though not required
  • Experience floating across multiple care settings, including PCU, MedSurg/Tele, or Emergency Department
