Job Opportunity – Critical Care / ICU Registered Nurse – Overland Park, Kansas
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Location: Overland Park, Kansas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 48 hours guaranteed, self-scheduling with every third weekend rotation
Highlights:
- 25-bed Intensive Care Unit with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios
- Advanced critical care case mix including open heart recovery, CRRT, Impella support, and bedside procedures including cardioversions and bronchoscopy
- MediTech documentation system with Alaris pumps and GE monitoring equipment
- Strong collaborative teamwork environment with charge nurse and unit secretary support (7am-11pm)
- Organization actively pursuing Pathway to Excellence designation and Unit of Distinction status
- Travel and agency staff float first; float assignments primarily to telemetry for patient care or other units as resource/helper
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license in Kansas or eligibility for licensure
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Critical care nursing experience required
- Strong communication skills and adaptability to change
- Neuro and trauma experience preferred
- AIDET patient experience methodology knowledge preferred
