Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 25 Weeks Shift: Rotating Shifts Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2.5 years of recent adult medical/surgical critical care RN experience. License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BSN, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Ability to float to various departments and facilities. Description: VAYA OFFER: Parnassus 12-HOUR DAY/NIGHT Rotating Shifts. 1 Schedule Cycle (4 weeks) may either be day or night shift, but may switch to the opposite shift in another cycle. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of the offer. Requests sent after the contract is signed will not be considered. Completed references must be ready at the time of application. This is a FLOAT POOL POSITION and not unit-based. ICU RNs will float to all TCUs, ED, and PACU. RNs may be assigned to all sites. Patient ratios will be 2:1. RNs may float to Acute Care, Telemetry, or TCU units with a maximum assignment of 3:1. Special procedures may include various critical care competencies. Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Preferred qualifications include 2.5 years of ICU experience. Candidates should have experience in managing complex patient conditions. Recent float pool, PACU, or emergency room experience is preferred but not required. Must possess relevant certifications and maintain ongoing education. All RNs will be subject to be reassigned to different departments if required. This position requires familiarity with standard equipment and procedures in the ICU setting. Supervisory or charge experience is a plus. A variety of critical care experiences in medical/surgical, cardiac, or neuro units is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to recognize and respond to the needs of multiple patients is essential. Teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary support staff is important. Candidates must provide two references from their most recent employment.
