Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – Northern Michigan
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Northern Michigan
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time with every other weekend required. On-call shifts possible. Holiday coverage from 7 PM the evening before through 7 PM of the holiday.
Highlights:
- Provide critical care for unstable, acutely ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention
- Manage life-support equipment including ventilators, complex intravenous drips, and hemodynamic monitoring systems
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate advanced patient care
- Float to similar units as needed to support hospital-wide patient care needs
- Experience with CRRT and balloon pumps preferred
- Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations including neuro, cardiovascular, and trauma cases
Requirements:
- Active Michigan RN license (verification required through LARA and Nursys)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of dedicated ICU experience (floating does not qualify)
- EKG interpretation experience required
- Completed skills checklist within one year of application
- Ventilator management experience strongly preferred
- Willingness to float to similar critical care units as needed
- Background in neuro, CVICU, or trauma preferred
