Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience required License: Valid RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience in telemetry units preferred - Travel experience required Description: ICU Registered Nurse needed for variable day and night shifts. Responsible for the care of Intensive Care patients. Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy. Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment. Plan for safe delivery of patient care. Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education. Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience. Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care. Willingness to float to telemetry units depending on need and patient census. Every other weekend required. On-call duty as needed based on census. Skills required include blood product administration and ventilator management. Must be capable of interpreting arterial blood gases and managing dysrhythmias. Candidates should have experience with central line care and high-flow nasal cannula administration. Patient ratios are 2:1 for day and night shifts. Looking for candidates who are adaptable and dedicated to high-quality care.
