The environment is fast-paced, exciting, and continuously evolving. Responsibilities include performing duties required by the unit specific to the scope of service and implementing procedures related to the specific area of practice. Nurses maintain up-to-date documentation of nursing care provided to assure integration of information for the healthcare team. Initial patient assessments upon admission are completed to develop appropriate plans of care based on patient and family needs. Plans of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures are implemented and modified based on continuous evaluation. Nurses take responsibility for patient safety by reporting and correcting safety hazards and incidents. Communication with others is maintained to resolve issues directly and privately when necessary.
