License: Current RN license required.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS required.
Must-Have: ICU experience required.
Description:
These positions will be hospital float pool staff.
Staff will be expected to float throughout various departments including the Emergency Department, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU.
The role requires flexibility due to the nature of float staffing.
Ratios may be up to 1:6 in Med-Surg.
Every other weekend work is expected.
No call responsibilities are required.
Travelers are expected to work major holidays as assigned.
Holiday expectations include working during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s among others.
Full compliance is required to start on time.
If not compliant in time, the assignment may be pushed back.
All travelers must meet specific facility requirements.
Experience with patient ratios of 2-3 is preferred.
Charting experience with a specific system is required.
Skills required include management of arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP, and care of ventilated patients.
Other required skills include IV management, cardiac drip titration, and ETT suctioning among others.
Interdisciplinary support and collaboration are essential in this role.
Official compliance documents must be completed timely.
Additional requirements include maximizing the time off policy as it relates to assignments.
