Job Summary

Join our dedicated healthcare team as an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse in Delta, Colorado. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-acuity nursing care to critically ill adult patients within a dynamic hospital environment.

The ICU RN is responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for individuals requiring advanced monitoring, life support, and complex interventions. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and deliver compassionate, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, interpret diagnostic data, and formulate individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments, including titrating vasoactive drips and managing continuous infusions, in accordance with physician orders and hospital policy.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, hemodynamic parameters, and cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment such as ventilators, IV pumps, and cardiac monitors.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and comprehensively in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Initiate and participate in emergency interventions, including code blue response and rapid response team activation.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
