Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid State RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required Must-Have: Previous charge experience, patient ratio experience, experience with Epic charting system. Description: The Registered Nurse will provide critical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The position requires experience in managing complex patient needs. Candidates must possess certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Knowledge of various critical care equipment and procedures is essential. The RN will maintain a patient ratio of 1:4-5 during their shifts. Flexibility to float to other units may be required. The nurse will be expected to work every other weekend and participate in on-call duties based on census. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team are crucial. This role also involves the administration of emergency medications and management of ventilated patients. Candidates should be comfortable with phlebotomy and central line management. A thorough understanding of infection prevention and isolation precautions is necessary. The nurse will perform assessments, provide interventions, and communicate updates to the healthcare team.
