TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Kansas City, Missouri, 64132!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in ICU License: RN Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (preferred but not required: TNCC) Must-Have: Advanced skills in hemodynamic and ventilator management Description: 48 hours guaranteed per week. Position available in a Neuro ICU with 32 beds. Patient ratios are 2:1. Unit staffing includes secretaries and technicians as needed. Required equipment includes Meditech for documentation. Expect scheduling for 3 twelve-hour shifts with every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. Floating may occur to similar units based on hospital needs. Preferred experience includes 2 years in ICU. Skills required include trauma patient management, IV administration of vasoactive medications, ventilator management, and chest tube management. Experience caring for post-op surgical patients, cardiac rhythm identification and management, and hemodynamic monitoring is also needed. Care of stroke patients is essential. Procedures performed on the unit include chest tube placement, ventriculostomy, moderate sedation, CRRT, therapeutic hypothermia, ECMO, arterial line, and central line placement. Dress code requires navy scrub tops, navy or black scrub bottoms, and solid colored jackets and undershirts. Awards and recognition include designation as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Trauma Center. New technology and equipment are in use, along with a tenured and experienced staff. Schedule options are available to accommodate staff needs.
