Description:
This position offers guaranteed hours of 48 per week.
The unit has 25 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2.
Staffing includes a charge nurse and unit secretary from 7 AM to 11 PM, with no tech support available.
Types of equipment used include Alaris pumps and GE monitors.
The documentation system utilized is MediTech.
Staffing is through self-scheduling, with a requirement to work every third weekend.
The floating policy allows for floating to telemetry only to take patients; other areas may require help or serve as a resource.
Patient experience requirements include AIDET.
Advanced skills in neuro and trauma care are a plus.
Procedures performed on the unit include open heart recovery, bedside cardioversions, bronchoscopies, CRRT, and Impella management.
The dress code requires scrubs in royal blue.
The unit is working towards a distinction award and is in the process of achieving excellence recognition.
A strong collaborative teamwork environment is emphasized.
