Description:
The Registered Nurse will care for patients in the Intensive Care Unit with a focus on cardiology.
Patients may include those from cardiac ICU, trauma ICU, and neuro ICU.
Ratios will be 1:2, providing critical care to adults and geriatrics.
Floating to other ICUs and border areas should be expected.
Candidates should be flexible to meet unit needs, including weekend shifts every other week.
No on-call shifts will be required.
All candidates must possess experience in trauma or surgical ICU environments.
Special procedures will involve managing patients with various life-threatening conditions.
The RN must accompany patients off the unit for procedures that require cardiac monitoring.
Key skills include management of central lines, arterial lines, ventilated patients, and emergency medications.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage complex medication drips.
The position requires effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
A dedication to patient safety and infection prevention practices is essential.
Only candidates with the specified experience in a Level 1 trauma facility will be considered.
