Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years critical care experience required License: Compact license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS preferred (TNCC not required) Must-Have: References must be from a direct supervisor, not a charge RN. Travel experience is required. First-time travelers are not accepted. Every other weekend is required, and travelers must be flexible according to unit needs. Description: The registered nurse will care for cardiac ICU patients and overflow from other ICU units. Focus will be on cardiology. The nurse will work in a high-volume, high-acuity environment. Daily patient ratio will be 1:2. Candidates will float to other ICUs and border areas when needed. Experience in teaching and trauma facilities is preferred. Candidates must have experience with various critical care procedures and equipment. Strong skills in managing ventilated patients and ECMO care are vital. Coordination with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and pharmacy, will be part of the role. The nursing staff will be expected to provide high-level nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the use of Epic for charting. Profile: Applicants should not have any compliance issues and must disclose any background hits when submitted. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment with a commitment to patient care.
