Nights required. On call support after 5 PM daily and weekends. Call is rotated among 6 to 8 staff members. Modified time frame for availability. Orientation consists of 16 hours. Staff will work in both ICU and Med-Surg settings. Daily census averages 35 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. Staff will float to different units as required due to census. All staff must demonstrate competencies for tasks performed in floating situations.
