Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Experience with Epic charting system required Description: This position is within a Long-Term Acute Care Client (LTAC) unit. 36 to 40 hours a week are required. Weekend coverage is provided by a rotating on-call schedule among staff members. ICU experience of 2 years is needed. Neuro experience is required. The position entails managing patients who may be on ventilators or undergoing weaning processes. The daily census includes adult and geriatric patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The unit comprises both an ICU and med-surg area. Staff may be required to float to different units as necessary. Candidates must be familiar with antiarrhythmics, anticoagulation therapy, and other critical care procedures. All processes must be performed according to established competencies. Familiarity with managing ventilation modes is essential. The ability to perform procedures such as central line care and arterial line management is necessary. Continuous education and compliance modules are part of the conditions of employment. All nursing staff are expected to perform responsibilities in line with the highest standards of patient care.
