Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Recent EPIC experience required License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing care in a safe and humane environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Adheres to safety and wellbeing commitments for associates and patients.
