Certifications such as CCRN and relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) are preferred as required by the assigned unit.

The RN utilizes knowledge of pharmacology to safely administer medications. They share responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization. The RN actively participates in supportive governance and improvement initiatives. They engage in professional development and mandatory education requirements. The RN integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. They provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. The RN may perform duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assigned. They participate in the Clinical Ladder Program as their knowledge and expertise develop. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Required skills include collaboration, communication, judgment, and critical thinking. Strong organizational and planning skills are essential for this role. Problem-solving, reliability, safety, and risk management skills are also important. Preferred skills include previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting. A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing is required. A Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is preferred. Certifications such as CCRN and relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) are preferred as required by the assigned unit.
