Description:
Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion.
Employs independent judgment in providing patient care.
Collects and analyzes relevant data pertinent to patient health.
Develops a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes.
Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery.
Promotes health and maintains a safe environment for patients.
Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes.
Identifies and communicates outcomes for patients.
Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver compassionate care.
