Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse – Pennsylvania

Schedule: 36-hour orientation; patient ratio ranges from 1:1 to 3:1 depending on acuity; every other weekend and holiday requirement; no on-call; floating required as part of Critical Care Float Pool
Highlights:

- Specialized post-operative care for cardiac surgeries including AVR, MVR, CABG, and other advanced cardiac procedures
- Work with specialized equipment including SWAN catheters, continuous cardiac monitoring, arterial lines, and mechanical circulatory support devices
- 11-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Services, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
- Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
- Adult patient population focus in a critical care setting
Requirements:
- Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required; Critical Care Float Pool experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with Teaching Hospital and Level I Trauma facility strongly preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Proficiency with cardiac monitoring, administration of blood products, hemodynamic monitoring, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD/RVAD), and critical care interventions
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available)
- Completion of Pennsylvania fingerprinting and background check requirements
- Successful completion of clinical skills assessment
