Description:
36 or 48-hour option available.
Unit accepts first-time travelers.
Weekends are required.
Floating may be required as needed.
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile local radius.
Staffing includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
Patient diagnoses may include ARDS, sepsis, congestive heart failure, overdose, post-operative complications, DKA, and GI bleeds.
Special procedures performed include CRRT and high-risk surgical care.
Skills required include management of arterial lines, ventilator management, central line care, and phlebotomy.
Candidates should be proficient in managing complex patient populations with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure.
Each traveler will receive a brief orientation on the unit.
Travelers are expected to float to similar units within their scope, as needed based on facility needs.
Compliance with mandatory requirements is expected prior to assignment.
