Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team for a 13-week travel assignment in Aberdeen, Washington. This role involves providing direct and individualized nursing care to critically ill patients within a hospital setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive patient management, collaborating with the healthcare team, and utilizing advanced clinical skills to monitor and support patients requiring intensive care. This includes assessing patient conditions, administering medications, managing specialized equipment, and providing essential patient and family education.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately via various routes (oral, subcutaneous, intravenous), meticulously documenting and reporting any adverse reactions.
• Provide comprehensive bedside nursing care to critically ill patients, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Develop and implement patient education plans, empowering patients and their families with knowledge on post-treatment care, medication management, and rehabilitation.
• Accurately record patient medical information, vital signs, and all aspects of care in a timely and complete manner.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results to effectively assess and monitor patient conditions.
• Prepare specialized equipment and assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Respond promptly and effectively to life-saving situations, adhering strictly to established nursing standards and protocols.
• Apply advanced clinical protocols, including Hemodynamic monitoring, Phlebotomy, and IV therapy.
• Monitor, adjust, and interpret data from specialized life-support and monitoring equipment such as central venous pressure monitors, pulmonary artery pressure monitors, cardiac monitors, respirators, ventilators, and oxygen pumps.
• Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads, and tubing, initiating corrective action for any adverse findings.
