Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,436 per week in Tacoma, WA

Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with previous employers within the past year. Travelers will be required to float throughout the region as needed. Unit has 82 beds: 48 ICU and 34 PCU across 3 separate floors. Ratios are 1:1, 1:2 for ICU and 1:3 for PCU. Charge Nurse available 1 per floor. Nurse Aides available 2 per floor. Weekend requirement includes every other weekend. Holidays are rotated with permanent staff. No specific scrub color requirements. Tele/Monitor Techs are only in PCU. All ICU level drips are allowed. Vents are permitted in ICU. Clientist or Intensivist available during the day; virtual ICU available at night. An ARNP is available for procedures overnight. IV Team is available 24/7. Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7. Pharmacy services are available 24/7. Shifts are either 7 am - 7 pm or 7 pm - 7 am. Floating is eligible between all ICUs and PCU. Floor specific orientation planning includes a maximum of 1 week with an educator and a minimum of 2 shifts. Common diagnoses include all critical care diagnoses. No vents are managed in PCU. PCU drips may include cardizem, nitro, insulin, and heparin; no pressors. Travelers are not required to take IABP or CRRT unless they have that experience. Looking for strong Med Surg RNs. Cancellation policy allows hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. All travelers are required to have 2 years of experience in their specialty.
