This position offers 36 hours with day/night rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. The usual patient population includes adult complex surgical patients and acutely ill medical patients. Thermal burns currently constitute a minority of our patients. The ICU operates under a closed model where all patients are cared for by the same team. Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) serve as primary ICU care providers. They are supported by consulting surgical teams and in-house attending ICU staff physicians, available 24/7. The care team responds based on patient needs and includes APPs and residents, with supervision from critical care fellows.
