Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU from a large facility License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Comfortable working in ICU, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Medical Surgical (MS) units Experience with patient ratios of at least 1:5 Description: The position is for a registered nurse capable of floating between ICU, PCU, and MS units. The candidate must be comfortable with high-acuity patient care. Charting experience with EPIC is required. Staffing needs will be evaluated every four hours, requiring potential floating 2-3 times per shift. May be required to work every other weekend or six weekend shifts in a six-week scheduling block. One holiday must be worked during the contract period. The ideal candidate will possess skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care. Experience in cardiac monitoring and management of ventilated patients is necessary. Proficiency in emergency medication administration and continuous IV sedation is expected. Must have the ability to work independently without CNA support. The role includes caring for adult and geriatric populations in a fast-paced environment. This position requires teamwork and collaboration with various interdisciplinary support services.
