- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Multi-system organ failure
- Post-cardiac surgery experience (not directly from the operating room)
- IV insulin protocols
- Chronic/acute renal failure
- Accessing ports
- Arterial line management
- Blood product administration
- Central line care/management
- PICC line management
- Starting IVs
- Continuous IV sedation
- Procedural sedation administration
- Titrate cardiac drips
- Titrate vasoactive drips
- CVA/acute stroke management
- External ventricular drains
- Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun
- ICP monitoring
- Post-neurosurgery management
- Traumatic brain injury management
- Assist with management of BiPAP and CPAP
- Assist with chest tube insertion/removal
- Care of ventilated patients
- High flow nasal cannula management
- Interpretation of arterial blood gases
- Suctioning (ETT, NT)
- Infection prevention
- Isolation precautions and use of PPE
- Phlebotomy
- Wound care management
Description:
The role requires an ICU nurse for a community hospital setting.
Support services include interpretation services, lift teams, pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, radiology, rapid response teams, respiratory services, social services, transportation, and unit secretary.
The candidate must have two years of nursing experience.
First-time travelers will be considered.
On-call duty, weekend shifts, and floating between units are required.
Charting is done through a designated electronic system.
SBAR communication is utilized on the unit.
The dress code consists of plain blue scrubs, which are not provided.
Candidates must have the required certifications ready upon submission.
Candidates will be expected to adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
RTO requests will be considered within guidelines provided.
