Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,381 per week in Los Angeles, CA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EKG basic dysrhythmia course, pharmacology, TNCC preferred Description: Unit type: Intensive Care Unit Total number of beds: 32, all private rooms Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required, with 1 year of travel experience Staff should be familiar with critical drips including Cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, and TPA Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips is necessary Experience with ventilators is required 24/7 coverage by hospitalist or intensivist is provided Pharmacy and respiratory therapy available 24/7 Shifts are 12 hours, with expected scheduling flexibility Floating may occur to telemetry or emergency room for holds, though rare Orientation includes 2 days on the floor if applicant has Cerner experience Common patient diagnoses include trauma, severe head trauma, CABG, CHF, DKA, and strokes Experience with sheath pulling is preferred Bedside report is expected Nurses should be self-confident and familiar with clinical bundles related to stroke and cardiac patients Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment Charting system in use is Cerner
