Surgical procedures include inpatient and outpatient care. The nursing staff comprises registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants. This position is primarily within the Intensive Care Unit. Occasional floating to other areas may be required in case of low census. Responsibilities include providing nursing care to critically ill patients of all ages and their families. Guidelines include doctors' orders, standards of care, and nursing policies. Nursing duties involve recovery of post-operative patients as needed. Experience in using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is required. Holiday coverage may be required.
