Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care in an acute patient setting
• Deliver holistic and individualized care to all patients in an assigned area
• Develop, implement, and coordinate a plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
• Foster and maintain collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communication
• Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN Licensure (must be verifiable and current)
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• PALS required within 180 days of hire
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required within 180 days of hire
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) required within 90 days of hire
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be considered at the local rate; candidates outside 50 miles are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior ICU or critical care nursing experience in an acute care setting
• Experience with stroke, trauma, or high-acuity patient populations
• Familiarity with e-learning compliance modules and onboarding processes
