Description:
This position involves working in a Burn ICU within a level 1 trauma facility.
The unit encompasses a total of 16 beds, with plans to expand to 20 beds.
The primary patient population includes adults and geriatrics.
Typical patient diagnoses are related to burns, trauma, and plastic surgery.
The unit provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy and respiratory services.
Wound care will be performed by the staff on the unit and is not the responsibility of agency nursing staff.
Nurses will manage a patient ratio of 4:1 during the shift.
Candidates should have a strong background in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias.
Experience in a medical intensive care unit is preferred.
The facility emphasizes teamwork and collaboration among healthcare providers.
