Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – New York

Location: Newark, New York

Schedule: Every other weekend required; 12-hour orientation provided; 2:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends; floating required as needed
Highlights:
- Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience with 9-bed unit and daily census of 7 patients
- Epic charting system experience required; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology
- Consistent 2:1 patient ratios across all shifts with manageable workload
- Advanced critical care skills including vasoactive drip titration, continuous IV sedation, and arterial line management
- Up to two pre-approved time off periods available during contract
- Comprehensive orientation with billable pre-start module completion (up to 5 hours)
Requirements:
- Active New York RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience; previous travel experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
- Epic charting system experience is mandatory
- Charge nurse experience highly preferred
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
- Proficiency in arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, and dysrhythmia management
- Experience with PICC line management, continuous IV sedation/paralytics, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
- Competency in emergency medications, procedural sedation, infection prevention, and isolation precautions
- Maximum 10 days of requested time off during contract period
