Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (0645-1915 or 1845-0715) | Every other weekend required | 1 major and 1 minor holiday required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed ICU at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, managing cardiac and respiratory diagnoses
- Titrate drips including Levophed, Propofol, Insulin, Dopamine, Neosynephrine, and Precedex
- Independently read and interpret telemetry strips (no monitor technicians on unit)
- Collaborate with in-house Hospitalist/Intensivist and Respiratory Therapy staff available 24/7
- Serve in Charge Nurse or House Supervisor capacity as assigned
- Float to other units as needed per staffing requirements; may be placed on call during low census with a 30-minute response time required
Required Qualifications- Active RN license (Oregon license required prior to start; candidates may apply under the 90-day Oregon Emergency License)
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum experience in Acute Care and Critical Care settings
- Valid Driver's License required at time of submittal
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience titrating vasoactive and sedation drips in an ICU environment
- Familiarity with Meditech EHR
- Experience with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and related respiratory equipment
