Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a blended ICU/CVICU setting with a 1:2 patient ratio serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage and care for patients presenting with diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis, CABG, Valve repair/replacement, Acute Respiratory Failure, A-Fib RVR, ETOH Withdrawal, Head Injury, Overdose, Stroke, Trauma, CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR
• Operate Baxter pumps and document care using Medhost EHR
• Respond to call requirements as needed per unit policy
• Float to Intermediate Care Unit (as primary RN) and provide ED holding coverage for admitted patients on an as-needed basis
• Adhere to facility attendance policy; travelers are permitted one call-out per contract, with any additional call-outs requiring documentation and subject to case-by-case review

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Arizona
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CRRT, TCAR, TVAR, and cardiac surgical patients (CABG, valve repair/replacement)
• Familiarity with Medhost EHR
• Experience in a Level III Trauma or regional referral center environment
• Comfort floating to Intermediate Care and ED holding settings
