Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 5 years in critical care License: WI RN or compact RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required - AHA ONLY Must-Have: Experience with multiple ICU units (Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, etc.) Telemetry test required prior to starting Basic Arrhythmia experience Description: Evening/Night shifts, with every other weekend required and some holidays. Will accept 4x12 shifts if preferred. Experience with multiple ICU specialties is required. Competency in accessing/managing ports and arterial line management is essential. Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients are necessary. Experience in central line care/management and monitoring of central venous pressure is critical. Knowledge of emergency medications and care of patients on ECMO is expected. Ability to interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias is required. Experience in trauma intensive care, cardiac care, and burn intensive care is essential. Familiarity with high-acuity populations and many devices is needed. Travelers will be required to float as needed across various ICU units as part of the role.
