Patient ratios are typically 1:2 and 1:1 for high acuity patients, including post CABG cases. The unit is equipped with balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia units, and ECMO. The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech. Candidates are preferred who have prior experience traveling to large trauma facilities. Typical patients include trauma cases, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general post-surgical ICU patients. Common procedures include managing chest tubes, central lines, and medication drips. Ideal candidates are driven, organized, efficient, and engaged.
