The role includes evening and night shifts, with every other weekend and some holidays. Candidates must have experience in multiple ICU specialties, including IMC and general care populations. Required skills include accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and managing ventilated patients. Experience with procedures such as ECMO, CVP monitoring, and administration of emergency medications is essential. The ability to interpret arterial blood gases and manage dysrhythmias is necessary. Candidates should be comfortable with high acuity populations and various specialties within critical care. Support and engagement in shared governance is encouraged within the unit. All travelers must float as needed to various critical care settings. A telemetry exam must be passed with strict criteria before starting the position.
