Unstable patients will transfer out of the unit. Two nurse assistants are usually available per shift. There will be a charge nurse or hospital resource nurse on every shift. In-house respiratory therapy is available 24/7 to manage vents, BiPap, and CPAP settings. The nurse will be responsible for reading and interpreting telemetry strips.
