Job Opportunity – Critical Care Float Pool RN – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (36 hours/week) - Weekend nights Friday/Saturday plus one additional night shift per week. Contract must extend through January 2, 2027.

Highlights:

  • Float to a variety of ICU settings based on staffing needs and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, CVICU, and more
  • Weekend night schedule with one additional weeknight shift for flexibility
  • EPIC charting system utilized across all units
  • Exposure to diverse critical care environments including transplant services (kidney, liver, lung, heart)
  • Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity per facility policy
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and more

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license)
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
  • Demonstrated competency in IV starts, telemetry interpretation, and ventilator management
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
  • Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director
