Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (36 hours/week) | Weekend days (Friday/Saturday) plus one weekday day shift | Contract must extend through January 2, 2027
Highlights:
- Float to multiple Intensive Care Units based on staffing needs and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
- Exposure to diverse critical care patient populations including transplant patients (kidney, liver, lung, heart), stroke management, post-cardiac surgery, and multisystem organ dysfunction
- EPIC charting system utilized across all units
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and radiology
- Float assignment based on equivalent or lower acuity levels relative to experience
- Travel experience required; contract length approximately two months
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (hard stop)
- EPIC charting proficiency required
- Demonstrated experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
- Competency in critical care skills including arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, blood product administration, and management of patients with cardiac drips
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required: one from a manager/director or formal leadership role; second may be from a charge nurse
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
- Candidates must not have been employed at this facility within the past 6 months
