The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care to patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. You will supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordination of care with other disciplines is essential while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Key responsibilities include: Collecting relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzing assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Developing a plan that prescribes interventions to achieve outcomes. Implementing the plan, coordinating care delivery, and employing strategies to promote health and safety. Evaluating progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifying outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborating with the team of patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe and humane environment. Providing learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly providing health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participating in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegating appropriately and coordinating duties of healthcare team members. Performing other job-related duties as assigned. Unit Secretary: 0700-2300. Provider Coverage: Intensivist: 0700-1900, 1900-0700 tele-intensivist. Clientist: 24/7. Scrubs: Navy blue.
