Unit acuity is high and routinely requires experience caring for patients with cardiac devices such as Impellas, IABPs, ECMO, CRRT, PA catheters, and LVADs.

CRRT experience. Description: The cardiac care unit is a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit. The staff care for patients with acute myocardial infarction and complications, including cardiogenic shock, post-infarction angina, and congestive heart failure. Unit acuity is high and routinely requires experience caring for patients with cardiac devices such as Impellas, IABPs, ECMO, CRRT, PA catheters, and LVADs. Almost all patients have some form of cardiac device, necessitating this experience for patient assignments. Floating may be required to areas of like skill set.
