Description:
Floating to multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac, Heart and Vascular, Client, Medicine, and COVID.
We need strong, independent experienced nurses to float our ICUs.
If there are no ICU needs, nurses will be expected to float to our floors as staff nurses.
Patient ratio is 2:1 in ICUs for all shifts.
Will float to inpatient floors when needed with a ratio of no more than 1:3.
May float to non-critical care units if the census is low in the ICU.
May be asked to be utilized as a patient sitter if needed.
Every other weekend requirement is in effect.
Must complete 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, plus participate in holiday rotation.
Does not require specific CVICU experience.
Preferred cardiac skill set includes hemodynamic interpretation, IABP, Impella, and ECMO.
Experience with vasoactive drips, CRRT, and chemotherapy administration is beneficial.
Past experience with electronic charting systems is strongly preferred.
Special procedures and unit details do not require specific CVICU experience.
All travelers will float within the service line.
