Job Opportunity – Critical Care Float Pool RN – Ohio
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts per week with minimum every-other-weekend coverage. Contract must extend through January 2, 2027.
Highlights:
- Float to a diverse range of ICU settings including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, CVICU, Cardiology, and Diagnostics units
- Work with complex patient populations including transplant patients (kidney, liver, lung, heart)
- Utilize EPIC charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
- Float policy ensures assignments to units of equivalent or lower acuity

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of application)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
- Demonstrated experience with IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Must be willing to float across multiple ICU units as needed
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- COVID-19 vaccination not required; Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
