Job Title: RN ICU Stepdown Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuromusculoskeletal Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Rotating Shift Schedule - Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, Callback, Charge as needed Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of Two (2) Years Experience License: RN License (New York License only) Certifications: BLS, ACLS (preferred), NIHSS required Must-Have: - Stepdown/PCU experience - High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience - Telemetry experience Description: The neurosurgical unit offers extraordinary opportunities to care for a diverse patient population. This is a mixed-acuity unit with both floor-level and a high-acuity step-down unit for patients with more complex needs who require hemodynamic and neurological monitoring.

This is a mixed-acuity unit with both floor-level and a high-acuity step-down unit for patients with more complex needs who require hemodynamic and neurological monitoring. Ideal candidates will have experience with neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, subdural drains, 3% NS, Cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coiling/clips, DBS Insertion, VP shunts, and seizure management.
