Patients may be assigned with ratios typically ranging from 1:1 to 1:3 based on acuity. The unit supports a collaborative work environment with a focus on evidence-based practice. Critical care nurse practitioners and intensivists are available to provide additional support. Telemetry monitoring is available at bedside and at the nurse's station. There is a rotation for working weekends and holidays. All staff are expected to adhere to fatigue policy regulations. The unit encourages strong teamwork and collaboration among staff.
